I don't blindly knock it. If I did I would not have actual reasons for hating it.

Go look up the definition of a cult before you make such idiotic comments. Just because you are religious and your religion (along with every other one) falls under the definition of a cult does not make me stupid or what I said untrue.

I realize that adherents of larger religions often use the word "cult" in a pejorative sense against less popular beliefs. But when you look at the actual meaning of the word there's really no reason it can't be applied to a larger religion as well:

From Merriam-Webster:
1. formal religious veneration : worship
2. a system of religious beliefs and ritual; also : its body of adherents
3. a religion regarded as unorthodox or spurious; also : its body of adherents

Well when I hear cult I don't see the latter. Excuse me for not wanting to be associated with the term. Even though it means and entire body, when someone refers to it as a cult and nothing else, it is insulting.

I am sick of people trying to constantly bag religion to me all the time. I am not forcing anyone to give a **** about my beliefs. I don't bang on about Atheists do I?

I think the fact that word "cult" is viewed as an insult says more about how religions treat each other than it does about anything else.
