At least other celebrities are professional actors/actresses, athletes, or what have you.

Maybe I'm looking at this all wrong but how do you guys willingly pay out part of your earnings every day to GIVE this family money for performing a role that has all but vanished in the last couple hundred years?

Right on. I never understood it either. Heiresses and reality celebrities are looked at as villains and the royal family is celebrated and adored, even though they are both famous for doing nothing. I'm glad my country doesn't have a royal family.

Paedantic Basterd 04-27-2011 11:22 PM

Technically, we belong to them too, but apparently about 70% of us could not care less that we do.

Howard the Duck 04-27-2011 11:29 PM

weren't the Kennedys some sort of Royal Family?

Paedantic Basterd 04-27-2011 11:32 PM

I'm actually rather upset with the Queen right now, as I was looking forwards to some Australian comedy coverage of the wedding, but she has disallowed the troupe to air their special.

Cunt.

That was all I wanted out of this.

yes they were the closest thing to a Royal Family stateside but they were much more active than UK's Royal Family imo.

I wish that Canada would just grow some balls and separate from them like the States did, uhhhh more than 200 years ago by the way. The Queen is just a figurehead here anyways.

I'd rather stick something in my pooper than watch this. Did I mention I'm terrified of sticking anything up there?

Scarlett O'Hara 04-29-2011 06:09 AM

Insulting the Royal family is a British reserve.
As much as I'm not a Royalist, I do object to your obnoxious comments. Especially from a foreigner.

In other words...shut the fuck up!

Howard the Duck 04-29-2011 06:47 AM

we are a Commonwealth

i have my rights

right-track 04-29-2011 06:49 AM

Sir, you lack class.

I didn't see a single second of it. If I had, I imagine I would have needed alcohol too. :-P

Burning Down 04-29-2011 06:53 AM

My mom was fawning all over it. She even got up at like 4 AM so she could watch the entire thing live.

Howard the Duck 04-29-2011 06:54 AM

^ha ha ha!

Ben Butler 04-29-2011 07:15 AM

Forgive me for seeing a bit of it. I had to see the service. It was a lovely wedding service. Kate looked happy and perfectly calm in the car on the way to the abbey unlike Diana who was far more nervous as she way younger and this continued as she walked down the aisle, an absolutely massive one may I add. The trees were very unusual.

The hyms were beautifully well sang and the wedding vows were good to watch. I personally thought Kate looked lovely in her dress with the pretty laces going down it and I did not realise how much bigger Harry is than his brother. William looks just like Edward. This is probably all I will see of the wedding now but it was a lovely service. Good luck to them even if I am not their biggest fans.

ps. the kiss in the balcony was very quick and why the two kisses for such a long build up, infront of the public as well!

Janszoon 04-29-2011 07:19 AM

I'm just happy it's over.

Mojo 04-29-2011 07:21 AM
