There are just so many logical inconsistencies. Here's a question that should hopefully help point out one of them; if your consciousness, the self, somehow arises from the muscle known as the heart, what would happen if you had a heart transplant?

Yes, of course, but only because your body would now contain part of that other persons body. The kind of cellular memory discussed in your link is, as far as I know, still considered pseudoscience and so does not deserve any "of course" as far as I'm concerned.

Even though I don't believe in either of them, it might be worth mentioning that blastingas links take it way further than the general cellular memory hypothesis.
