There's a better argument for government offices & what have you, but it should be used with discretion. In Kansas City, for example, one of the university's (to comply with the law) had to carve this monstrous complex of zigging & zagging ramps & a few elevators so cripples could make it up the hill.

I love cripples, the handrails are cool for when you gotta take a mean ****.

Eh? So because people don't choose to be crippled private companies should be forced by the law to accommodate crips?

No, I just don't think it's completely crazy that they would make an issue out of the lack of wheelchair accessibility.

Is there a law? I know you can legally refuse blacks to eat at your establishment if you want, and that's the way it should be since it's a private business. Demand will serve as it's own justice in that case anyways.

I was always under the impression of what happened before the advances in disabled peoples lives. They were living fruitful lives before they had a ramp to get them somewhere. I don't feel any company should be forced to do anything period, they're just another part of the work force. I don't believe companies shoould have to cater to religious beliefs either and create places for people to worship during work hours. If you hire a disabled person then you hire them based on their ability to do the job, not cost you money.

Hah, business corporations don't want to do anything but make money for themselves, period.
Should they not have to pay their employees minimum wage? Pay taxes? Offer health insurance to employees' families? They wouldn't if they didn't have to (by regulation).
Fuck whiny corporations. If they are forced to make their places of business accessible to wheelchair-bound people, they should build a damn ramp or close down. Nobody's forcing them to open up shop in the first place.

You may have taken that a little out of context. With regards to building accessible ramps why should they have to do that? Because they opened up a shop? I feel they're providing the work environment to begin with which in this day and age is a gift in itself. I agree with all the stuff that you said previous to that, and thats why it is regulated.
