So... does an order of Eucharist wafers come in a Jesus-shaped container?

I'm pretty sure each church just orders some Jesuses once in a while and cuts them up.

It's just one of the ways that the church is tackling the immigration issue.

I went to church once. It was awful. The food was nasty and everyone was getting drunk. Then I realized I wasn't at church, I was at home during Christmas time.

I've been dragged by my grandparents to a few Catholic Masses, and god damn are they dull. It's all sitting quietly, standing up, sitting back down, and reciting this or that religious catchphrase over and over again. Thank Jebus they only seem to last a half hour.

Used to go once a week as a child. Boring as shit and smelled funny.

Went to midnight mass a few times on Christmas Eve, quite enjoyed it tbh :o::eek:

As an adult I found the Pentecostal churches of the south. The holy rolling evangelical kind, I was with them 10 months before I drank that kool aide. I was almost a youth pastor for the church I was attending. I used to ask them too how they felt about a pastor that rolls up to the parking lot in a hoopd, blasting Led Zepplin with a fresh pall mall hanging outta their mouth, and the answer I always got was " Noah was a drunk." Then one day I stopped, I stopped doing outreach, I stopped working with the kids, and teaching anger management. I stopped because I couldn't reconcile the feelings I would get inside there on Sunday services, when the mic's were to loud, I would get flashbacks from my youth, and I realized that all the praise, I got for my gift of gab, and understanding others and how to get them to understand the bible on another level, was myself and my ego, playing with others emotions, and it was no longer clear for me if I was doing this for the love of the Lord, or the love of self. And I walked away and never looked back. That was 5 years ago. I'm still deeply spiritual, and my problem isn't with my ideas, and thoughts about God, but with man.

What's wrong with that?

Honestly? Nothing in my eyes,but the body of Christ is made up of some very old,very stubborn, very set in their ways members.My pastor was a forward thinking man,and so was his son.Approching Christ from a philosophical perspective, which was rad in it's own right.But the congregation had yet to really and truly catch up. Why I walked had to do with realizing that I can be a very persuasive person,I Can sell a pitchfork to the devil,and thats wrong to be aware of it,and do it for the power rush.The whole foundation of it is bulit around the Lord,not Roxy.And seeking personal/emotional gain through others in their misery is very dangerous, and the worst disservice you can do to another person.If you truly understand the love of God, fellow man and thy self.;)
