It's not like I have any Clinton 2016 bumper stickers, or signs out on my lawn, or t-shirts, or pins. I picked a candidate and will defend them against BS talking point lies.

Trump and the alt-right who make up his base scares the **** out of me. There's plenty of real fodder with them so why not point it out?

If I was going to suck any politician's dick it would be hers.

Striking resemblance to Monica Belluci, but then again, they are both from Italy.

I see an Italian Alyssa Milano. Who is probably already Italian with a last name like Milano.

Actually, historically that's exactly how it worked. The elites of both parties simply picked their candidates behind closed doors. It wasn't until sometime in the mid-twentieth century that they started having what we think of as primaries. The DNC and RNC are semi-private organizations, not part of the government so they can pretty much run things internally however they want.

In the functioning of modern day political parties in most of the western world, parties have set strict guidelines and rules to ensure their primary process follows a democratic process, and members of a said party vote in good faith, in the belief that their vote will help elect the candidate that best represents their interests. Attempts to circumvent that process can result in libel for fraud.

That's cool. I'm not taking about most of the western world though, I'm talking about the US. I'm also not saying I'm a fan of the way things are, I'm just explaining how it is and how it was in the past.

Like I said earlier, Hillary was already decided to be the chosen one. She ran against Obama and lost then she got the secretary of state job and she put in her dues and it was her time to be supported. Why do you think Joe Biden didn't run? It was already agreed upon that this would be Hillary's time.

Rightfully so? Give me a break. Talk like that just helps deepen my dislike of the Democratic party. If you want to go around alienating progressives who are potential allies, don't cry when they don't vote for your candidates.

This is the strangest election I've seen in the U.S. For the first time in my life my left wing side is cheering for the Republican, and my right wing side is cheering for the Democrat.

My rght wing side says Trump will be a disaster because he will put in massive tax cuts without cutting social security or medicaid causing the GDP to debt ratio to balloon out of control, but...

My left wing side says Trump is further to the left on Hillary on many major economic issues, and because his success soley depends on keeping his working class voters happy, he will have to cater to their will, whereas Hillary only has to cater to the will of hmmm lets see, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, Exxon, Monsanto, ect, ect.

It's like living in some weird bizzaro Superman universe, someone pinch me when the nightmare is over.

I'd say the much bigger issue on that front is the fact that wants to cut taxes but expand the military

Don't fool yourself, Trump would be very much beholden his wealthy backers like the Mercers.

Bernie's hitting the trail next week to start campaigning really hard for Clinton. He said the other night that he's going to do everything in his power to insure Trump doesn't win. He'll sway a huge swath of progressive backers.
