Of course there's people on the right who support gun control. I'm talking about the vast majority though.

Plus, this argument derived from the fact that I said Republicans want moderate gun control. Saying that they support the laws we have now is moderate gun control.

Again, of course. I thought we were discussing implementing new laws.

I think a lot of Libertarians are jumping onto the Republican band wagon the same way you neo-Liberals jump on the Democrat band wagon because you feel you can't vote for who you really want and so you vote for the primary that you think best represents you. So that causes confusion when you have a Libertarian like Alex Jones at the Republican convention supporting Trump.

I do not support privatization, deregulation, or giving more control of the economy to private sectors instead of the government (anyone remember 2007-2008)? So don't lump me in with the neo-libs.
And for the 1,546,829th time I usually vote Democrat because they are pro-choice, pro-gun control, pro-separation of church and state, pro-women's rights, pro-environmental control, pro-regulation of banks and wall street, and are most often the more fiscally responsible party.
Alex Jones? Most of the mainstream consider him a true conservative based on the words that come out of his mouth. I think he likes labeling himself a libertarian and federalist because it helps him sell books and promotes his radio show and his conspiracy theories. The dude's an entertainer first and foremost who appeals to anyone who thinks the big bad gubment is behind everything including the Oklahoma City bombing, 9/11, faking the moon landing, and staging the Boston Marathon bombing. Remember how he tried to discredit the kid that had both of his legs blown off by saying he was really a US soldier who'd had both legs amputated years earlier?
Pathetic way to make a living.
