It's highly unlikely there is life on Mars, given our current understanding of biology and the lack of life-like activity on Mars.

It's hard to know if it's elsewhere in the universe. But we have a such a large universe that will exist over such a large span of time, it's unlikely that two such species would exist at the same time, let alone meet each other.
