Not yet. He posted bail (5 million), and is sure to lawyer up big time.

My vote? He walks.

Is this about that Koney dude? Oh, it's not? Of course, cause nobody cares about child soldiers any more than they care about whatever the hell this guy did. So can we stop pretending otherwise with self-righteous threads?

The Kony thing was more it was found out that the group everyone was donating to was a scam lol. It's not like anything is going to happen to this guy if he's convicted or not. Maybe he'll get a "huge" fine by the standards of a normal person that he can shrug off, maybe he'll spend a few months in a nice white collar prison. Then he'll be right back to making millions and doing coke off strippers on a yacht.

Wasn't Kony a slacktivism thing where the owner went nutty and had a shouty wank in public? I missed the scam bit if there was one.

Exactly. The money they donated was like... completely pointless, but people were given the impression that it was being used for something. It was being used to get the founder dude high and whatnot. I consider it a scam. A damn good scam.

I see it more like naive youngins trying to oversimplify a complex issue and a dude unable to cope with the negative attention that came in swarms alongside the positive attention.
