Writings are meaningless when the actions of an organization as a whole do not live up to them. The Bible might as well be toilet paper when considering the cover ups of the pedophile priests and the entire church's complicity in them.

That very first section advocates using any means necessary to spread the word of God. That can be used to justify a hell of a lot.
