I feel very few people would put Hillary and Trump on level ground. I keep hearing people say they will vote Hillary because she is "the lesser of two evils." The only reason I defend Trump is because that's a bull**** statement and she's no better than he is.

Of course she is better than someone with zero experience.

lol

yeah laugh out loud the next time you show up for a job interview with zero experience and say that you deserve the job.

Hillary is provably worse than Trump, and we are all aware of the reasons why that is the case.

Is experience worth anything if there's nothing positive about that experience?

Fair point. That's why I like Gary Johnson. Look at his political record and try to show me one bad thing. It's not easy.

I don't feel that career politicians are better. I'd prefer a system where random citizens with other jobs served in government for short periods of time to having career politicians under our current system.

I mentioned this before, and it might have been here. Have random citizens serve for a year at a time. They're not allowed to take any donations, PAC money, etc. They're rewarded or not based on their ability to both make practical improvements AND importantly, how much they can not increase legislation, with a bonus if they can reduce legislation while not screwing anything up.

I agree. I would vote for Johnson.

I think that experience requirements are ridiculous for a lot of jobs that are available, too. There are a bunch of jobs that trained monkeys could do, and there are a bunch of jobs where things where it would be good to hire folks without experience in an industry instead, as they'd be more likely to be innovative/to break out of ruts etc.

Of course, jobs where someone's safety is on the line require training to make sure that folks are safe, and there's probably not any practical way to significantly reduce the amount of schooling required for doctors, engineers, etc., but if I were king, anyone could easily change jobs at whim and receive the training needed for that job, where the reward impetus for particular careers would hinge on just how in-demand they are.
