Probably like four months of Hillary and three years, eight months for Tim Kaine.

I just hope they don't shut down the foundation.

No-one wants to talk about the 95% of good things their Foundation does for people. Everyone's focusing on the 5% of controversial stuff.

Any corporation/foundation/institution that is that enormous, with so many employees, and huge cash flow coming in and going out is never going to be 100% pure.

Maybe spend a few minutes over on Wiki reading about The Foundation instead of just listening to the talking points.

Quote:

The foundation is made up of 11 non-profit groups that work on four major issues: global health and wellness, climate change, economic development and improving opportunities for girls and women.

It's what philanthropists call an operating foundation, which means it doesn't give much money to outside groups to fulfill its mission. In 2014, the foundation gave less than 3% of revenue to other non-profits. Instead, the foundation does its own work, with staff and partners around the world.

Health is a big focus. In more than 70 countries, according to the foundation, it helps 11.5 million people, including 800,000 children, with HIV/AIDS get their medication at 90% lower cost -- more than half the adults and three-quarters of the children getting treatment in the world today.
But it does all kinds of other work as well. For instance, it helps East African farmers get better seeds and fertilizers. It supported Nepal's reconstruction after the 2015 earthquakes. And it has connected more than 500,000 Latin Americans to job training and entrepreneurship opportunities.

The Clinton Foundation does tons of work in the US, too. Some examples: It has a school program that operates in every state, affecting more than 31,000 schools and 18 million students by its count. That program is to improve physical education, child nutrition, health education and staff wellness programs. They also work on prescription drug addiction. The foundation wants to halve the number of opioid overdoses -- right now those drugs kill more Americans than car accidents.

Experiment idea: post a fake negative article on Hillary, making it about things Trump did, said or defended (that haven't blown up yet). Then wait to see how long and in depth Chula's defense of it is.

I predict that he will respond quickly but very shallowly because he hasn't heard other people's talking points yet.

CharityWatch President On CNN:

Now that the 8 different GOP committees utterly failed at finding anything to indict Clinton on over Benghazi, the right has moved on to THE FOUNDATION!!!!!!

Haters gonna hate.

Seriously, for all that you talk about the lesser of two evils, you carry water for her blindly every time anyone criticises her. You're probably the liberal version of your relatives.

djchameleon 08-25-2016 03:58 PM

Yeah I know all the good the foundation does.

It would be horrible if it got shut down. Even Trump donated money to it at one point in time.

Liberal?

Chula Vista 08-25-2016 04:12 PM

Criticize her for valid ****. People bitch and moan that her and Bill accept money from 'bad' foreign leaders. Yet they then turn around and dump 86% of that money back into helping others. The remaining 14% goes into keeping The Foundation going.

On a side note did anyone see Glenn Beck on TV last night on The Last Word. Holy crap, the guy might be sane after all. The guy ripped Trump apart and then went on to say that the Breibart guy who's Trumps' new CEO is the scariest guy in poiltics right now. He's been following him for years and said his Mission Statement is to tear everything down on both sides of the aisle and then re-build the country in the fashion of Lenin.
