There's 435 members of The House of Representatives, each of whom will be up for re-election in a couple of years. And their #1 priority in two years is to be re-elected. Right now the house is 241-194 in favor of the GOP. And unlike the Senate, the House is based on regional population. Those politicians seeing how many of their constituents are opposed to this new president is very important.
They will weigh their votes over the next two years very carefully based on self preservation. Look at what happened in the 2010 mid-term elections. The Democratic led house was decimated by voters because too many of them 100% jumped on Obama's coattails. Protest right now is good. Not for me or you, or the nightly news, but for those who will be campaigning for their livelihoods in 24 months. |

That's only after a massive pushback from the mortgage industry. He clearly only wanted to dismantle it because of the kneejerk contrarianism to Obama and every single one of his evil regulations. It was initially going to go into effect yesterday.

All of the climate change data was taken down from the government website yesterday. The Donald's on a roll already.
And ya, both my wife and son are going to get royally screwed if the ACA gets destroyed without a decent replacement plan. Currently we pay $450 a month for Linda's healthcare and Mike get's his free because of his disability - though he just get's bottom of the barrel coverage - which is a hell of a lot better than nothing. |
