Yes, and from a proper scientific point of view I understand the objection to the desire for physics to be pretty. But honestly I don't feel like a proper scientist, I feel about math like I feel about creative art, music in particular. If the math behind a theory in physics is beautiful I don't care that much whether it's an accurate description of actual reality, and I don't care at all about its usefulness and applications. Sometimes I think I should have studied pure maths
