That pretty much suggests (I don't suppose it's concrete enough to be truly compelling evidence of anything solid concerning consciousness) what so many think, that consciousness is an emergent phenomenon that's countless processes merging together to create an illusion of personhood so strong that the person can't even tell.

Michio Kaku is fun and entertaining, and he talks about science, but what he does as far as public platform is concerned is often more speculation than actual science. Sometimes, totally preposterous sensational speculation.
