This is Comet Leonard, moving against the backdrop of the Milky Way.

Venus looks like a “fake” Christmas star.

Notice the solar wind creating the “tail” in front of the comet.

Hell yea, I've been waiting for this for years. Hubble was such a huge step forward and this seems to be a similar leap.

I hope everything goes to plan with the sun shield (the huge challenge of this mission).

The first images should be coming around summer time.

The deployment explorer on the link you posted is really interesting to see the whole plan. https://jwst.nasa.gov/content/webbLa...tExplorer.html The sunshield should be fully open in +13 days from launch.
