My friend lives in Verona in Italy and sent me a video on WhatsApp, it was 'only' 34° but it looked like people were genuinely struggling in the heat, he said the humidity was making it hard to breathe also.

Over here it's been ridiculous as well. Our spring was just a summer with moderate days sprinkled in. I legit don't think I've ever seen a spring where I live that so ignored the concept of being spring. It was winter, then it was summer.
