Also, people are generally not fit to make value assessments about their own work compared to others. It's pretty well established psychology that we are way overconfident.
What's hilarious about this entire conversation is that Elph thinks by leveling the wages that wealth just goes away. People will always barter for services rather its with money, favors, commodities, or material possessions. It is inevitable that some people will make good trades and end up with more resources aka "buying power" than others, regardless of the system. *snowball starts rolling*. Conversely, others will make terrible trades and end up losing buying power. This isn't some utopian future where everyone can materialize whatever the hell they need for themselves.
