Spirituality and Awakening

So over the last year, I have learnt some of the hardest lessons I have in my entire life. I learnt my strengths, weaknesses and had huge mental health issues. Throughout it, I have learnt more about being awake. I am not sure who else here is awake, awakening or discovering it, but I'd like to know and have some discussion about it.

Basically, we live in our own worlds, stories. Similar to that thread a long time ago I read about how none of the things in our life is real. It's all constructed in our minds, but one collective mind. I think light shines through us and we can create and destroy our stories how we see fit. I've even tested this and literally had conversations with it. I promise I am not going crazy.

Idk what youre talking about.

Usually when you hear the term "woke", it's from some idiot trying to invalidate your opinions and insert their own without any logical foundation.

It's basically you can write the script, if you want to live out your dreams you can do it. It's how you control the brain and access the universe. I went through levels of consciousness. I, unfortunately, went a little too far too soon but got some amazing answers from it.

Louise Hay is another good author. As is Eckhart Tolle although he gets quite clinical about it.

There’s a word for that: pretending.

All I got from that video was.. you can't appreciate good without bad, and you need to find a way to balance the two forces in your life.

Was this an experience that occurred while under the influence of a psychedelic drug?

Oriphiel 05-07-2018 06:42 AM

She met jesus on an acid trip.

^ I've tried reading a couple of Alan Watts books, but never quite made it to the end of one, so I was very pleased to see the man himself; lucid and making a clearly understandable point. Thanks for the clip.

Elsewhere I once read a similar idea about how difference so easily becomes agression - about how, the very minute you talk about "us" you are defining a not-us, which you call "them." We all know how most religions, politically theories and armies view "them" - not quite as enlightenedly as Alan Watts. :(

It was from Alan Watts, among others, that I learned the importance of tolerance and if anyone else takes that message away from your clip, then you've done a service to MB Celladorina, but as for too much analysis and over-thinking of life, I prefer to live by this banal maxim: "Life is a mystery to be lived, not a problem to be solved."

Yeah, Jesus is always going on acid trips. Satan keeps meaning to go with him one of these days, but his work schedule is hell.

So like a mix between phenomenology and Buddhist spirituality?

Wait, who's the guy that talks about the shadow self?

Oh, yeah. My friend keeps telling me to look into Carl Jung because he says some of the things I say are Jungish or something.

People used to tell me the same thing about Neitzsche too. Never looked into him until half of youtube started name dropping him every where.

I'm lazy and I miss out on a lot of good stuff because of it.

grindy 05-10-2018 11:53 PM

*Jungian

Akai 05-11-2018 06:18 AM

Hmm, awakening.

I just took a couple blotters, read a few Hermen Hesse novels, had a slight out of body experiance and I saved money as I didn't need the typical life affirming Tibetan pilgrimage all the Druids rant on about.

Nor does it make sense. Nobody directed a single comment at me, so I think his punk music is just too loud and is liquefying his brain maybe.
