It's a pretty stupid rule to be honest. It should says "Treat others how THEY want to be treated". Which includes pets, so stop putting socks on your fucking dogs and making their wear costumes for your amusement.

I've heard stories of animals wanting to wear costumes so I guess who knows? Don't assume an animal doesn't want to wear cosplay just cause it's our own weird thing.
