Wait, I thought he was proof of another failed business venture of Trump's with the USFL?

More seriously though, of course Republicans will cart out any black person that's willing to recite their talking points, just like the Dems cart out disaffected Republicans that no one likes to recite their talking points (e.g. John Kasich, Colin Powell, etc.). Trump used to host a lot of Tyson fights, I'd be more interested if Trump carted out Don King and Mike Tyson for the RNC instead of Herschel Walker.

As far as the RNC goes, Don King would have been infinitely more entertaining.

I say one thing about Herschel that mf stays in shape. His brain never worked that good. Good god he was loved locally when I was growing up.

Great clip. I’ve never seen that.

Soooo...who's ready for the debates? Other than Joe Biden, obviously. I feel as if Bernie didn't go hard against Biden's misrepresentations of the truth because he didn't want to be given the blame for Biden's loss - he will be blamed anyway.

i'm not sure why you're so focused on a one-day wobble, neapolitan, when the graph i posted showed the overall trend of one famous stock-market indicator.

You have to understand why I brought it up. It was possibly the only time I heard anything positive about Donald Trump in the news, quite literally the only time. And tbh I wanted to see what MB thought of it. The graph you showed me concurs with what happened in the stock market as reported in the news at that time.(see graph below) Whether or not how the "news" reported was accurate - the reason they give - is really up to contention as far as I've read in the comments that followed. If the news is reporting that there was a rally for Trump in the middle of a bull market then that seems suspicious to me. It was happening anyway, right? It's like they are just making up stuff. After I read those comments I began to have this feeling like I was being red pilled. Here I am believing that news story and here it's like the "news" was just talking totally out of their hat. I tell you one thing - thanks to MB - I'll never believe a single thing the news says about Donald Trump ever again. sheesh.

I just wanted to show that trump was equally capable of talking nonsense. Your quote from biden about hairy legs was very funny and i wouldn't tie myself in knots trying to defend it. I'm not sure that trump's ill-expressed anxiety about eyesight in five years time is worth defending either, tbh.

Trump was bringing to attention what would happen to workers affected by restriction that Biden wants to implement. If it was the other way around, and Joe Biden was concern about workplace conditions, I doubt that would dub as "talking nonsense." Biden would be commended for being concerned about "Social Justice" issues.

I am very impressed with your graphics, Neapolitan, especially that magnifying-glass look at what was going on when Obama transitioned to Trump. That's clever of you to identify the rallying Wall Street that you mentioned.

I sympathise with your exasperation about finding out what is really happening in the US. We live in what is sometimes called a "post-truth" era, in which politicians are prepared to tell bald-face lies and media sources distort and omit information to suit their political bias. That can happen on both sides of the aisle, though when it comes to lying politicians, I don't think there is much doubt any longer that the award for Most Flagrant Liars goes to Trump and his admin.

A quick google search of "Biden bans windows" led me to a fact-checking site with this unequivacal statement:-

Quote:

Joe Biden's climate change policy does not include baning windows as suggested by Donald Trump

Trump made a claim that Joe Biden's climate change and clean energy policy include banning windows. Research on Joe Biden's statements on his climate change and clean energy plans do not suggest any such intention. Furthermore, the fine print of Biden's actual climate change plan does not include any steps to 'ban windows.'

The statement was made by Trump in light of his long-standing and differing climate change policy compared to Biden, who in fact supports climate change and clean energy initiatives.

Therefore, there is no verifiable basis for Trump's claim that Biden wishes to ban windows to counter global warming.
Trump is notorious for not reading his Daily Presidential Briefings, for favouring one verbal denial from Putin, in Helsinki, over the intelligence assessment of a team of American specialists, etc. As tore's signature used to say, "In the age of information, ignorance is a choice", and Trump continually displays his willful ignorance. We - you, me and MB - research issues more thoroughly than Trump does, which is why he so often comes down on the wrong side of an issue and retweets discredited conspiracy theories. His misjudgements due to ignorance go back to his position on the Central Park 5, and take in, en route, his laughable notions about cleaning infected lungs with bleach. He doesn't know if Fredrick Douglass is alive or dead, and when he talks about windmills causing cancer, it's clear he hasn't done his homework: if he had, he'd know, at a minimum, that windmills, windpumps and wind turbines are 3 completely different machines.
