From CNN:

President Donald Trump on Saturday called Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, pushing him to convince state legislators to overturn President-elect Joe Biden's win in the state.

Trump asked Kemp to call a special session and convince state legislators to select their own electors that would support him, according to a source familiar with the conversation. He also asked the Republican governor to order an audit of absentee ballot signatures.

Kemp explained that he did not have this authority and denied the request, the source said.

Honestly. what did he expect??

Donald Trump is mentally ill. Probably with dementia, possibly frontal lobe dementia. That's in addition to being a sociopath with narcissistic personality disorder.

I cannot emphasize this enough. The whole craziness surrounding Donald Trump is that you have a fanatical, brainwashed cult comprising at least 1/4 of the population who cream their pants over just about everything Trump does or says. But the thing is, this cult is worshipping a mentally ill man. It is JUST like Charles Manson or Jim Jones, writ large. Sadly, it seems deranged people are more likely to have cult followings than normal people.

Here are some links to peruse. If you want to read just one of them, read the last, it's the most detailed and comprehensive:

Trump’s mental pathology, confirmed
Quote:
In late September, more than 100 senior mental health experts went on video record to announce that Donald Trump was too psychologically dangerous and mentally unfit to qualify for the presidency or candidacy for reelection. More than a week ago, we held an emergency interdisciplinary conference that followed up on to our earlier National Press Club conference, broadcast in full on C-SPAN, which brought together 13 of the nation’s top experts in fields as diverse as psychiatry, law, history, political science, economics, social psychology, journalism, climate science and nuclear science. We emphasized the expansion of dangers into all domains and the need for fit leadership.
Transition warning: Trump's mental illness is a growing danger
Quote:
As the world celebrated a Biden-Harris victory, mental health professionals braced for the two-and-a-half months that we deemed would be the most dangerous period of this presidency. Indeed, in just the days since announcement of election results, Donald Trump has refused to concede, has obstructed a peaceful transfer of power, has fired and replaced top officials responsible for the nation’s security, and has contemplated catastrophic war. All this is on top of ignoring a surging pandemic that is now infecting more than 150,000 per day and killing more than 1,500 Americans per day.

Since Donald Trump’s election, mental health professionals have come forth in historically unprecedented ways to warn against entrusting the U.S. presidency to someone exhibiting dangerous mental impairments. We held an ethics conference with the most highly respected psychiatrists in the country to ensure a solid ethical basis for speaking up. We then published "The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 37 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Assess a President," which became an unprecedented bestseller of its kind, and donated all proceeds from the book to remove conflicts of interest.
Trump's cognitive deficits seem worse. We need to know if he has dementia: Psychologist
Quote:
If Donald Trump were your father, you would run, not walk, to a neurologist for an evaluation of his cognitive health. You don’t have to be a doctor to see something is very wrong. “He reminds me of Uncle Bruce in so many ways,” said my aunt, who nursed her brother through Alzheimer’s disease. Joe Scarborough, who has known Trump for years, said in 2017 that Trump's mental confusion reminded him of his mother, who had Alzheimer's for 10 years. “It's getting worse, and not a single person who works for him doesn’t know he has early signs of dementia,” he said of Trump last year on his MSNBC show.

To mental health professionals like me, the red flags are waving wildly. In January 2018, over 70 of us wrote a letter to the president’s physician, Dr. Ronny Jackson, urging him to administer a cognitive exam during the president’s physical because we had seen a marked deterioration in his verbal functioning, possibly due to cognitive decline.
I’m a brain specialist. I think Trump should be tested for a degenerative brain disease
Quote:
Every day of my working life, I evaluate people with brain injuries. It falls to me to make decisions about what is normal and what is not, what can improve and what will not, whether or not my patients can work, what kind of work they can do, and pretty much everything else.

In turning my attention to the president, I see worrisome symptoms that fall into three main categories: problems with language and executive function; problems with social cognition and behavior; and problems with memory, attention, and concentration. None of these are symptoms of being a bad or mean person. Nor do they require spelunking into the depths of his psyche to understand. Instead, they raise concern for a neurocognitive disease process in the same sense that wheezing raises the alarm for asthma.

Compare what you see of Trump now compared to 21 years ago. He actually sounded quite sane back then. He is clearly NOT the same person now.

I often wonder if the Covid infection did something to his brain? It's terrificly scary that a madman could lead a country - well, many madmen lead countries, but the most powerful country in the world - over a cliff and into who knows? Armageddon? I say the words again: bunker mentality leading to a desire for Gottedamerung....

No. Some of those links I posted above are 3 years old. People have been observing he probably had dementia since even before he was elected. One guy whose twitter account I follow said he could tell he had dementia in 2015, and probably first started showing signs of it around 2012.

Yes I understand that, but Covid could have sped up the deterioration. I mean, it's very suspect that he came out of it supposedly unscathed while people like Chris Christie had "terrible illness". He's not ****ing Superman, no matter how much he claims he is.

I'm not noticing much difference in his speech patterns or anything else pre-COVID vd post-COVID. He was pretty demented before he got it, and now he's still demented.

You live in an airport or something? The only other explanation is that you're a boomer. Just give us a sign if you're being held captive in the airport - we'll send help.

Guiness ain't even that good. I'm so confident in that assertion, I'd advise you to get a CNN Fact Check on it.
