True.. but I also don't think we value people just cause they're smart... Or else we wouldn't care about babies and mentally disabled people

I can only live so much for the demands of others before it becomes a misery. Especially when their demands are based in middle class boring drudgery. My family lack very much in imagination and I don't know how I sprouted from them.

By "live by the demands of others" you presumably mean not actively pursuing cancer and cirrhosis of the liver.
