Since a lot of the time the stories I read and post are described as being not suitable for the "I can't believe that news story" thread, I thought it might be an idea to start one for actual news stories we may want to discuss or read about.

I found this pretty harrowing

Afghan school girls murdered in bomb attack on school

I do find it odd that the Taliban denied responsibility for this, as it's the kind of thing they not only would normally do, but crow over, and I wonder if there's another story behind it?
