How many of you enjoy the likes of Orbital, Autechre/Gescom, Bola, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, even Bjork, etc?
It's pretty much 100% crazy. I made everybody watch the Windowlicker video, and some of my friends were just disgusted.
Any comments?

Aphex Twin's Hangable Auto Bulb EP has finally been reissued (and is available now)! This is the beginning of the hardcore jungle thing he continued with 'I Care Because You Do'

They are great. I'd also add Boards of Canada and Global Communication/Reload into that list although they're bit more ambientish.

EDM is the new IDM...no one under the age of 20 even know what it is anymore. IDM was great tho, Glitch style, D&B, now it's just like every other 'Electro' Genre, you just have to find it hidden on the LP.

I think EDM is still EDM and IDM is still IDM. I don't think they overlap.

Orbital are a classic,the brothrs built up a style of their own that influenced a lot of other acts.

I think there is starting to become a very big gap between stupid EDM and clever EDM. Stuff like David Guetta/Avicii just make me want to cry when I hear it but there is definitely some very unique/clever EDM music out there. Also in my opinion EDM can be very emotional music if done right (deadmau5 tends to get that right).
