Justice

Anyone who doesn't love Justice can just go to hell, because these guys are seriously the shit. Their Waters of Nazareth EP is excellent, they're great DJs, and when they went to accept the award for the song they did with Simian ("We Are Your Friends" = song of the year), Kanye West ran over to complain. What's not to love?

EDITED: Accidentally called Justice Simian.

I decided that this forum is very underappreciated (is that even a word? Firefox is telling me it isn't!) and deserved a few new threads to keep it going.

I'll upload the EP when this LCD Soundsystem upload is done if you can't find it.

Justice are definitely the best current electronic producers out there now. Heavily influenced by Daft Punk, they do justice to call themselves Daft Punk influenced.

wrong. Justice is the most overrated electronic act, period. "D.A.N.C.E" is a great single; the rest of Cross is bland at best. It all sounds the same; it appears they spent all their talent on aforementioned single. "We Are Your Friends" was also great, but they had help from Simian on that one.

On that note, Simian Mobile Disco is an infinitely better production team than Justice. Attack Decay Sustain Release trumps Cross in every arena; it has more variety, more depth, better hooks, and most importantly, is listenable all the way through. I find myself switching off Cross after three songs at best.

Got that album a while back, always thought "D.A.N.C.E." was one of the weaker tracks on the album. Really liked it overall though.

Justice is THE most overrated electronic act, PERIOD? A little far-fetched, but whatever. They didn't really have "help" from Simian, either, all they sampled for that song was the vocal (the best part of the original song).

I really don't see how Cross all sounds the same. Sure, their keyboards appear to only have like, two presets, but the album is much more diverse than the "Hey, wasn't 90s Dance music great?" stylings of Attack Decay Sustain Release. If you listen to SMD's album and much of their remixes, all of their songs have the exact same rave-revival vibe to them, while Justice has gone from hits like "We Are Your Friends" to "Waters of Nazareth" to "D.A.N.C.E" and back again.

No way are SMD better than Justice. You want to complain about a boring, lifeless, poorly-produced album, pick that one.
