suggestions

i am relatively less familiar with electronica music but i enjoy it none the less. i really like the fusion of rock and electonica like bands such as ratatat and ghostland observatory but i also really enjoy daft punk and some other similar like dance music. i went to a paul van **** show and it was pretty enjoyable. i dont know exactly what classifications specifically you would place these bands into, i just enjoy them and am looking for more like them. any suggestions?

Listen to this:

Infected Mushroom-Vicious Delicious

They have trance, electronica, rock, hip hop and breaks going on in their music, but it's enjoyable none the less.

That's just a starter, what other genres are you into? then i could give you more pointers, as i'm sure most people will on here.

yo that infected mushroom song is tight! i like it alot. its hard for me to say which genres i like because i delete all the genres off of my itunes. i kinda have this thing against classifying music in a sense because people tend to pigeon toe themselves into something and close their ears to alot of great music. i mean i really like most anything out there that doesnt sound like no talent pussys who were handcrafted by someone else (britany spears to linkn park), the kind of music that offers not only no originality but somone has to tell them what to do and how to sound.

like i said though i only know tid bits of electronica but i do know i dont like the very generic high pitched chick voice like you hear on tracks such as 'red alert' by basement jaxx. i like the beats in that song alot but that chicks voice ruins it for me. i love female vocalist, but unfortunately they seem to have more difficulty projecting an original sound at times.

Try some Justice, MSTRKRFT, Digitalism, Autechre, Vitalic, Out Hud, Automatic Panic, and Kavinsky.

For more catchier electronic, try Miss Kittin, Adult., Felix Da Housecat, Freezepop, Fischerspooner, Soviet, Ladytron, The Presets, and New Young Pony Club.

And just for fun, check out Avenue D, Dandi Wind, and Punk Bunny.

Hope that helps.
