Rediscovering my grime hype since coming back to London for the Summer from Uni. Surprised that Durrty Goodz hasn't been mentioned, his Axiom EP is one of my favourites across any genre.

My man has some crazy guys on the production for this EP: Coki, Bass Clef and Fireworks.

Him dissing Wiley-

My favourite from the EP-

i like some grime, but i only like it instrumental, which is a bit harder to find. the GRIM FM compilation is great, that's what got me into Starkey.

Both are from the collective G-Fam, Impulse's last mixtape 'Full Metal Alchemist' was amazing and Rinse's debut 'Attack of the Nerds' will, I predict, have reach beyond the grimeheads later this year.
Rinse is absolutely brilliant, seriously talented as an MC, his cameo on the Westwood shows (both with Dot Rotten) were excellent. Had to laugh at this bit though. It's five years late and it's not coming out. Welcome to Grime.

He promised me an interview a while back, and I've been hassling him for info about what he's been doing, but he didn't want to answer any music related questions, which would have made for a pretty boring interview, so I declined. This was around 2010-ish, he was performing at Leeds festival that year. He said he wanted to get it out as soon as possible and I know it was all fresh material other than 'Put Em Up' so the music is definitely there. He also had a feature on Professor Green's album and also Wiley's 'Elusive' album, on the track with Mike Skinner:

I have the official CDQ of 'Put Em Up' and also 'A Little Darker', which I'll upload to Youtube now, although it is mixed. It's still CDQ though.

EDIT - here:

Ain't checked his Myspace in ages, the thing I spoke to him about was going to be called 'Spectacle' but that never came out. What mixtape are you on about? Attack of the Nerd?

Wiley leaks his own album 2 weeks before launch.

The Ascent (album) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I made a mistake on the album i need to make a change if Itunes cannot change the mistake i will leak it.............today....

I have the album in a zip ready .....7pm .....

All day my label and manager have been ignoring me ya na and now they are talking to me lol fiuegfiugeuogfoegofgeuofgoegfoge
On one hand it's funny but on the other it's pathetic. Wiley logic - "Americans leak their own albums so I'm leaking mine"

Will listen to it and may review.
