What annoys me is when people just say "I love dance music!"
... And then you ask them what sort ... And they just say ... "Yoou know, deadmau5, Skrillex, the list could go on..." It pains me. |

Yeah I get that. Some people just aren't into music the same way you and I are. They listen to whatever is available to them through the radio and just attach onto it like it's the best thing ever without really exploring to find out if there is anything better and you get ignorant responses like the one you get from your friends.

It really depends: electronic is like rock where there are so many subgenres that you can't just just use one blanket term to describe it. For example, I'm rather partial to Darkwave and Electronic Industrial, but I can't stand Lady Gaga or Katy Perry-type techno. I think it just comes down to what you like, and there is no deffinite answer to wether or not is an aquired taste for all.

Dance music is the best, Im a self confessed rocker, but I will listen to anything I don't mind aye, As long as it has a sick beat and sounds good i will generally listen to it.
I converted a few of my mates to electronica, and the sub-genres and they all really like it now. Not to mention i have 45 gb of music on my computer and about 35 of it is some sort of electronica |
