Default Nero

I've really fallen in love with Nero over the last few days. I was made aware of Nero by a friend of mine after I told him I was into Deadmau5, so I'd say it's probably house but some of the songs take in some elements from Dubstep too.

I was first pulled in by the remix of Ghosts 'n' stuff (Deadmau5 and Rob Swire) which I believe is one of the best remixes of a song I have heard, they take the essence of the song and turn it into something different, but not the standard sort of different where they just lay a beat on top and try to do some crazy drum and bass **** that doesn't work. It actually sounds great as a track in it's own right. Also, if you like the remix of Ghosts 'n' stuff you should also check out the remix of Juggernauts, which is in a similar vein, just a different song :P

As for Nero's own stuff, the riffs are less inspired than those songs that they've remixed, but they're still very good. I'm still taking time to listen to Innocence, Electron, Solid Air and Choices but iirc at least two of them are excellent.

I think the two best Nero songs are the Dubstep mix of Act Like You Know, and Sound in Motion which are both on the same EP and are excellent, you should definitely check them out I'm hoping for an ablum at some point ^_^

I can't post youtube links yet, but hopefully some fan will post them, or I'll find something else interesting to make one more post about so that I can. They should be easily findable on youtube and are definitely worth it.

This is the only version of any Enter Shikari song I've ever allowed onto my laptop. Didn't do an awful job of it. 'Blinded by the lights' remix is ok too...

Hmmm... None of those clips are House.
There's Drum & Dass, and Dubstep.

I like Nero's Dubstep though. As far as his Drum & Bass, I prefer a darker sound.

I like this neurofunk song by Nero:

You're very right. I got that from the comment "If you like Deadmau5, you'll like Nero" which looking back is a bit confusing, but whatever. I might edit that part out.

I'm quite enjoying the liquid drum & bass feel of songs like Solid Air at the moment, although I can appreciate wanting something a little darker. Definitely not pure Drum & Bass anyway.

I absolutely love his remix of Juggernauts.
And his remix of Holiday by Dizzee Rascal is pretty good too. Bearing in mind I hate Dizzee.

They sound like very generic drum and bass to me, the stuff 18 year old first year University students listen to to act like they are with it.

Yeah it is generic Drum & Bass. He DJed at a Dubstep evening at Cambridge Fez the other day, which was amazing, one of the best nights out I've been on (albeit I can't remember much, bloody alcohol.)

For me Innocence is now by far the biggest track, followed by choices, and remixes of Ghosts 'n' Stuff, Juggernauts and Blinded by the Lights.
