Ah, taking me back to my early teens this week! I love this song and always thought the video was pretty dumb, but here it is:

You simply can't mention EBM without Neuroticfish in the same sentence. Shame he stopped making music. EBM IS DEAD!

Covenant are a very nostalgic band for me as they were one of the bands that kindled a passion for music in me when I was just getting into it.

And One never fail to make catchy, bouncy, old-school EBM. Always loved 'em.

I find a lot of EBM annoying after a while but it is one of my favourite genres oddly enough.

Harder edged stuff:

'Classic' bands:

and just some of my faves:

Shame about the audio quality on this :(

Sounds like Lemmy stumbled upon a drum machine one night :)

Really liking Flesh Field and Suicide Commando. Albums to hear?

Unrelenting 03-07-2012 09:46 PM

Flesh Field you want the album Strain. It's probably one of my favorite albums, period. Suicide Commando you want the album that's titled after that track: Bind Torture Kill

Fuck all that "Harsh EBM" shite.

Unrelenting 03-08-2012 03:25 PM

Funny, I'd say fuck most "clean" ebm

You do realize you're allowed to enjoy music on its merit alone, and if somebody else hates it, it doesn't mean it's crap, right? Unless you're not enjoying it as much as you think you are and need constant validation from others to maintain your delusion.

Now now, bit of a low blow saying I`m deluding myself into liking something you do not. However, I was being inflammatory for it`s own sake, and I apologize. Depending on the day I get pretty back-up-ish if something`s worded strongly. If it was something like ''Could never get into the harsh stuff myself'' I probably would have reacted differently, but I`m on my man period this week.

Moving on..

The only clean stuff I really listen to is VNV Nation, Assemblage 23, and Flesh Field. All modern clean EBM seems to want to be VNV Nation really, really badly, and it kinda turns me off. That being said, I guess all harsh stuff is kinda based off of Suicide Commando`s sound. I used to be into Tactical Sekt a lot more until I heard Suicide Commando, then a bunch of switches went off in my brain.

I`m kinda surprised only 3 users have posted so far..

Get over it. I'm not going to cushion my words because they might hurt your feelings, and nobody else will either.

I would say so, especially the older stuff by both.

Above 03-10-2012 04:29 AM

From what I've heard of KMFDM, I'd say they were Industrial Metal. What older stuff are you referring to, Janszoon?

Unrelenting 03-13-2012 02:34 PM

uhhh
