I listen to them mainly while reading a book in noisy surroundings. Great non-intrusive stuff. Them and Tortoise.

That was my first actual BoC disc too. Get EVERYTHING else - it's all just as good.

I decided to listen to "In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country" today. It's a damn good EP, but it's not as great as Music Has the Right to Children or The Campfire Headphase IMO.

I decided to pick up and listen to whatever BoC albums I had on my HD, and wow. Why is it now that it clicks with me? Maybe it's my current situation, and state of mind... I'm not entirely sure. I find it strange that I've gone so long without hearing more "entry" type IDM stuff, but I blame that on the area in where I live, and my almost total isolation.

Important double post. BoC have released 6 12" mystery records on Record Store Day. What do they mean?

I can't believe only 1 has been found so far. You would think people would be all over that ****. I hope they are not in totally random record stores...I'm tempted to head to my local one just to make sure...

Boards Of Canada Distribute NEW Vinyl Releases Out For National Record Store Day | 2020k

There are just a few more pieces to the puzzle, and it's only been 4 days since this all started. Props to the internet sleuths who are investing all this time into a silly mystery. BoC seem to really enjoy agitating their fans, a black box was put up on their official site about a year ago as a place holder for a potential new album. Funny thing is, of all the discussion about just 1 little thing that could have been an error, fans were actually raging about how needlessly mysterious the duo was being.
