Default Eskmo

Didn't see a thread here. Totally deserves one.
He and Tipper seem to share some commonalities, but I think Eskmo fleshes his ideas out a bit better and in a different way, especially with the ethnic/world infusion. Mostly the similarities lie in the rhythm sections.
Eskmo seems to be a mix of a lot of different artists on the Ninja Tune label, of which he is signed to. Rightly so. Some great stuff on that label.

Anyone else dig Eskmo?

Hmmm. I dig this. Is there an album/EP that you would recommend?

Start off with the self-titled album (Eskmo, 2010). The album previous to that (Ascension) was released in '03, and there's a huge difference. So if you're digging the stuff I posted, you'll want to go with the self-titled.

In between, there are some singles and EPs. I haven't heard them all. Your best bet is to discog him and check them out on Youtube to see if you want to get 'em.

First song of Eskmo's that I listened to was Agnu Dei. Currently loving Buffalo though. It's the kind of music I just want to blare and memorize every beat.
