Biosphere

Biosphere is Geir Jenssen's main recording name, he releases some great ambient electronic music with this title. The term "arctic ambient" fits well to me, the music has a sense of coldness with it, like a chill, or a subtle breeze of crisp wind. Apparently Substrata was voted best classic ambient album of all time. Shenzhou is my favorite, though. It's like gliding through the universe in a small, dark pod. Very minimalistic, very chill.

I especially love the faint orchestral sample in the title track. It seems to drift effortlessly through your ear, into your mind.
