Default Big Black Delta

Hi guys,

So I'm really lame with genres and I don't know if this musician belongs here or in Indie or whatever, but I just need to start a thread because it is AWESOME.

Wikipedia says: "Big Black Delta is a solo project of Mellowdrone vocalist/bassist Jonathan Bates. Big Black Delta has collaborated with a number with other artists such as War Widow, Alessandro Cortini, and Morgan Kibby. As of July 2010, Bates says he plans to release new Big Black Delta material every few months."

None of that really means anything to me but maybe it does to you?

I've been geeking out on Halt & Catch Fire ("80s IT drama with bisexual hot male, Lee Pace" should be summary of that show) and the song "Capsize" was used in, I think, episode 6.

I want to give a review or something but I think the song speaks for itself. It's a bit MGMT or Imagine Dragonsy, but it's very sexy and ethereal (I don't really like MGMT or Imagine Dragons, and that is why I use the word 'but'). I actually kind of want to call them the male vocal Goldfrapp somehow. There is something very Goldfrappy going on.

Here's another of the awesome tracks I've heard so far from the 2013 self-titled album, "Big Black Delta."

Enjoy! I hope I find a comrade on here who can obsess over this artist as much as I am right now.
