OP knows of sub-genre of trance. Writes one-word OP description. That's some psychedelic stuff.

Has anyone been exploring the Psybient DVD Pack Collection? It is an 8DVD set of psybient albums and mixes by ~99 artists. I haven't been able to locate a commercial version available for purchase but the collection is readily available from a number of sites.

The first disc comprises Simon Posford-related recordings, (Celtic Cross, Dub Trees, Hallucinogen, Shpongle, The Infinity Project, and others) and DVD6 focuses on various artist compilations.

Regardless of the compiler's identity the collection provides a wonderful exploration of the genre and the content is expertly-organized for easy-browsing. It's an excellent resource for those who want to learn more about psybient music.

Thoughts?
