Onuka
 

Thanks to some awesome Ukrainian couchsurfers of mine, I'm happy to introduce you guys to Onuka, a folktronica group from Ukraine. They kind of remind me of something between Crystal Castles and Goldfrapp, but with a hefty folk flair (traditional horn, wind, drums, and stringed instruments are often used for hooks in their songs) that gives you a sort of Woodkid feel, even. For that reason I even hesitated a bit to post this in Electronica, I think it deserves a spot in the International section too =D They sing in both English and Ukrainian, but I tend to like the Ukrainian stuff better, I find it more ethereal.

So far this is my favorite track from them, it's absolutely gorgeous and uplifting:
