The movie is great, but the book is just better for that experience of immersing yourself in cynicism and nihilism. Of course I don't know what I would do if I wasn't picturing Edward Norton and Brad Pitt and Helena Bonham Carter while I was reading though.

Edit: Holy ****. I was just looking up the cast cause I couldn't remember Helena's name, and I had no idea Bob with the bitch tits was Meatloaf. WTF?!

Fight Club is one of the few stories ever translated from print to film that I think was better on film. I've heard even Chuck Palahniuk said he preferred the film's ending to the one that he'd written.

I'd love to get back into reading this summer. It's been nothing but textbooks for 9 months.
