The bombers are a pop-surf rock band from Sweden, not the best surf-rock ever but it's still good ****.
The blog I found them on also led me to several other kick-ass vicious surf-rock bands which made me smile.

And yeah Sunn O))) probably are, but Electric Wizard makes up for it with their burnt-hyborian presentation.

But, if you insist...*pumps shotgun* :p:

Molecules 01-24-2009 11:44 PM

ARGH

well despite my now-mutilated visage I thoroughly intend to check out this Swedish surf-rock of yours on the world wide intarwub.

Yes, it's the face of Pazuzu which briefly appears in the film for about 2 seconds.

*Interrupts conversation just to say that he's listening to the Corrosion of Conformity album Wiseblood right now.*

soif'n

I read in Julian Cope's book that while we were all mucking about with horsesh*t like the Beatles and psychedelic music the Japanese idolised the Ventures and spawned hundreds of carbon copy surf bands. f*ck yes

corrosion of conformity. hardcore and thrash make fine bedfellows

Yes. Yes indeed. Although this album is more stoner-ish. Great stuff all around.

I really like Pink. There are a ridiculous amount of Boris records though, so it may just be that you havent listened to the right ones yet. I only have a few, as I said theres LOADS.

I'd recommend Altar though for sure, which is the Sunn O)))/Boris collaboration. It's a beautiful record.
