My wife and I have completely different tastes in music. While it's true that on long car rides when I'm having trouble staying awake I wish she enjoyed loud fast music as much as I do, overall our different tastes have very little impact on our lives.

Time for a rebump, and as I can't be arsed to find my post and edit it, I'll post a new one.

Although I'd voted that I was a girl who likes boys and girls I now want to change my vote to 'I'm a guy who likes guys and girls'. I feel my gender identity is best described as male, even though biologically I'm female.

In fact, I think I prefer to be in a relationship with someone whose taste differs almost completely from my own, as long as they are open to new music and won't write off anything immediately. That way, you each stand to gain much more from each other's taste

I do have a soft spot for badgers though.

I dated a girl once that jammed to Kesha and couldn't name a single Beatles song.

That didn't last long.
