How obscure is your taste?

I'm only at 73% right now, I'm getting there.

Ohforgetit1's overall favorite bands and artists
are 45.9% obscure on average.

My tastes have changed so drastically since I got Last.FM a few years ago that I really can't rely on "overall." However, in the last 12 months my musical taste is 55.4% more obscure on average. And in the last 6 months, 62.2%! My overall is 40.8%. I am 21.8% more obscure than all the users of Last.FM!

72.5% here. I blame all my recent listening of the Beatles, Beach Boys and Rolling Stones for such a low number. :laughing:

However, I jump to around 55% when I look at my last year/6 months. Only really started looking for obscurity in that time.

I don't have a lastFM account so I can't really gauge my collection.

But, SIANspheric is one of my favourite bands and they rate with an 89.4% obscurity rate hahaha (then again most Canadian bands rate around 80% obscurity or so it seems). Though I figure I'm closer to the 65% mark myself.

I can't really use that accurately on myself. When I started using Last.FM I just started accepting any recommendation I saw site unseen. So 90% of the bands on my account I've never even heard of, let alone listened to.

3.0%. Either my taste is really lame, or it's due to the large volume of classical performers and orchestras that aren't even catalogued in the Last.FM database. If they were I'm sure my taste would be way more obscure.
