iPad 2 or iPad 3?

I've been planning on getting an iPad. I'm just trying to decide between the two. I can get an iPad 2 32gb for the price of a 16gb iPad 3. That's really selling me on the iPad 2. With that extra 100 dollars I can get the apogee jam, which is something I'm definitely going to get.

The only main differences between the two that I've read about are the higher resolution screen, the better camera and the 4g instead of 3G that is on the iPad 2. And is the iPad 3 buit with a faster processor? I'm going to be gettin the wifi only, so I'm not concerned about that. I'm not going to be taking many pictures, so I'm not concerned about the camera.

The higher resolution screen is concerning me, however. I was at best buy looking at the iPads, and i noticed that the picture on a YouTube video wa kind of blurry. For some stupid reason I didn't watch any videos on the iPad 3 to see if the videos looked any different on that. I'm going to have to go back and check it out. If the iPad 2 is going to be blurry when I watch videos and the iPad 3 isn't, then I might go with the 3.

So, iPad owners, I need some advice. What do y'all think?

What are you going to be using it for?

I think mate, this is what you really want to be thinking about - the iPad 2 has the most space for that price which you think is the main point you're after.

For the screen resolution - a lot of it depends on which video you're watching, because a lot of them of course are going to be very blurry anyway. Personally I think the difference is pretty negligible from my own experience, but if you're bothered about it then I'd suggest that you make your own mind up by looking yourself.

Apart from that, I think it's good that you don't care about the camera - if you do want a camera then you wouldn't be buying an iPad!

Im just going to be using it for internet browsing, maybe some apps and games. It's not like I'm buying it for apps and games but if I'm going to buy it I might as well get a few of both. I'll be using the garageband app, watching videos on youtube and just using the ipod. That's about it, until I get it and figure out something else I want to do with it.

You may as well just get a 1st generation iPad then. I have a 16gb wi-fi only iPad and I pretty much use it for the exact same things as you plan on using it.

I think iPad 2 is better mate, their is very less different in processing of iPad 2 and iPad 3 but you having double space for storage so my suggestion to you to go with iPad 2 .

I have to use all 3 devices at work. DO NOT get an iPad1. There is a noticeable difference in screen quality when you put a 2 and a 3 side by side but the 2 isn't horrible on its own. The 1 is gross.

How much do you plan on doing with Garageband on the iPad? I'd say it's almost worth saving up a bit more for a MacBook instead if you plan on using it for remotely serious recording projects.

I was playing around with a Kindle Fire at Office Depot today while waiting for the line to die down and I was really surprised with how fast it ran and how nice the screen quality was. I could definitely read a book on it but trying to read comics (which is what I mainly use my iPad for) was just a little too small. The $199 price tag definitely intrigued me though, I mean I could sell my iPad and have enough to buy a new Kindle Fire and have some money left over. I can't imagine typing on it would be all that wonderful, but hell even trying to do forum posts on the iPad can get straining after awhile.

I actually prefer Samsung's Galaxy Tab to iPad, but that's probably because I really like Android OS

For reading sure but by god or whatever you believe in dude do NOT consider running games on a Kindle :( (we need a bawling smiley because this isn't sad enough for what a Kindle does for games)

Also the Galaxy Tab is AWESOME. S-III is SUPER NICE too except for the fact that it has soft buttons on its face so you always inadvertently activate them while trying to play a game.
