I think the obvious choice in who would make a great couple is 216 and any girl on the site. Dudes a beast. He was once bitten by a rattlesnake and after 4 agonizing days the rattlesnake died.

I ****ed Paul Smeenus once, but then I never returned his calls. Dude's too clingy.

He seems to like the metal and proggy guys. Hopefully Trollheart can hold off his advances for his own safety.

Meh. Progheads are all technique without any focus.

You all know who I'm holding out for... :shycouch: Now, changing the subject completely, anyone know how much an airine ticket to New Zealand costs?

Here's where you're wrong. I lack technique AND focus.

That's actually really cool. I wish I had a "how we met story" like that :)

How is meeting someone online and getting into a relationship borderline insane? Do you live in the stone ages or something. What you are saying sounds like something my grand mother would say or Smeenus.

Do you realize how many people meet online through different things whether it be dating sites, online games or forums and end up married? How are you on the internet? Or even know how to use a computer?

The only time I would think it ill-advised if not insane is like the time one of the girls in the office told us she had met this guy online, chatted for a few months I think, never saw a picture of him but was going to relocate Australia to be with him. Sight unseen, I think that's a bit silly. Of course it may have worked out but then again...

Also once my ex-friend went on and on about how she was moving to the USA to be with this so-called Native American she'd been chatting to. No thought put into it at all, she was an idiot. I counselled her against it and in the end she said she found out he was on the run for .... murder.

Hmm. Makes you think. If it all seems too good to be true, then it probably is, and the axiom "look before you leap" certainly applies.

That said, I know there are plenty of people who have created great relationships that started online. But those people took all the usual precautions, meeting on SKYPE, getting details about each other, maybe going for a short holiday to meet the other person before uprooting their lives. Little late to realise you've made a mistake when you're three thousand miles from home...

djchameleon 08-24-2013 05:32 AM

Yeah people are quick to tell about the horror stories but this is just like anything else in life. There are positives and negatives.

I never understood those people that were risky enough to just pack up everything and go meet someone without seeing them over webcams or even doing a background check on the person. You are online! background checks are standard.

I am kind of jealous of the guys that actually get women to fly out to meet them instead of vice versa. I've always had to be the one going out to meet them.
