Superman vs. Batman

Well?

P.S. Please don't add an anal beads option. It's a played out joke that's lame to the fifth power. I write this with full knowledge that you're going to do it regardless of what I say, so this is just a formal protest. :finger:

Edit: Super Anal Beads = boring.

You left out the only possible option that I could've honestly selected, that being supreme disinterest.

YorkeDaddy 02-04-2014 01:40 PM

are you asking who we like more or who would win in a fight? I prefer Batman by a pretty significant margin.

there's kind of precedence for the latter (read the dark knight returns if you haven't. i'm assuming you have, batlord)

BTW Batty I'm with you on the anal beads, it's time to put it to bed.

It's an MB specific dad joke.

I'm really glad my dad has never joked about anal beads.

Batman all the way, I am gonna answer honestly as Batman is my all time favorite characters and up until the Chris Nolan movies he got the shaft... He is the man, there isn't anything he can't do with the right amount of cash, and ingenuity..Which makes him completely more accessible to common man,he is also deep rooted in revenge and that like it or lump it it is in everyone of our makeups as human beings...

Superman would be amazing if he actually spoke to the darkest parts of my psyche, but unfortunately it is all sunshine, rainbows, do-goody bull****, and red underpants...
All though a few years back they put out an else world series of Superman as a communist, that was pretty sick...Red Son.... But as my super hero no, I want one just as flawed and ****ed in the head as I am thank you very much....

This is what makes Batman so good to me. There's so much psychological trauma and motivation with Batman, and so often in his adventures he runs into ethical dilemmas - should he just kill Joker and end it all?

There's never any real worry that things could go wrong with Superman to me. There's no human aspect to him. Batman is amazing because you can relate to him and he's believable (to an extent).

Batman all the way and twice on Sunday, but am I the only one who thinks the Nolan movies are overrated? Don't get me wrong, they were awesome, but they weren't brilliant by any margin. If it weren't for Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker those movies wouldn't have gotten nearly the attention they did.

And I could never take Christian Bale seriously as Batman or Bruce Wayne. Nothing against him, but as far as I'm concerned Kevin Conroy (voice actor from the nineties cartoon) is and always will be Batman. All others are a distant last place.

I haven't actually. For no apparent reason I never got into collecting actual comic books as a kid. I guess I just didn't live that close to a comic shop or something. Maybe it was my all-consuming Star Wars obsession that was immediately followed by my thrash metal obsession.
