Trust me, I know why it's gone and why it probably won't ever come back, because I swear I was the only person who drank this ****, but it was awesome, way better than regular Pepsi.

Hydrox were better than Oreos. They came out with these things again in '08, but they were only around for about a month, apparently for the 100 year anniversary.

This was my go-to when I was staying up all night playing GameBoy Pokemon and PS1. I don't think I had any other kind of pop from '96-'03. Vault was kind of the same thing, but that was also discontinued on two separate occasions. Apparently Coke just can't compete with Pepsi's Mountain Dew.

I'd imagine. What does a quaalude do, anyway? could you compare it to anything? I mean, obviously, I've never done it. Erowid lists it as a sedative/intoxicant, but I couldn't imagine dancing and clubbing and partying hard (which I've read is what people enjoy doing) whilst sedated, though that's just me, naturally it differs from person to person.

My personal experience with 'Ludes' (as we used to call them back in the day) was more of a sexual enhancement than a club/dance drug. If you knew the right amount to take under the right circumstances, it was a wonderful drug to enhance a sexual experience. If you didn't know what you were doing and you overdid it, you were more likely to fall flat on your face and pass out.
A lot of people I knew liked to combine them with booze and/or other drugs just for the high, though.
Vicodin might be the closest I can think of as a comparable effect.

I hardly drink hot coffee, but I like coffee flavored hard candy like nips, coffee flavored ice cream and oddly enough coffee soda. But I don't miss it nearly as much as Vanilla Pepsi. Why in the world did the Pepsi company discontinued it? :(

Oh yeah, I know. I was just reminded of Doug Flutie's cereal haha. They brought Flutie Flakes back in the US for a short time in 2008 I think, but that's it. I remember my mom bought some boxes back in the late 90's when they were being sold though. I think all the proceeds from that cereal went to help kids with autism, which is great.

Mostly I miss the cans (illustrated by the likes of Daniel Clowes and Charles Burns among others) and the bizarro marketing campaign.
