Sounds about right. Thats what they made those sets for, so kids could carry out their evil schemes. I'm pretty sure I tried to make some type of weapon at some point.

I had that exact Slot Car track too, but had quite a few other ones along with it. I always chose AFX over Tyco. Tyco just seemed cheap, and broke too easily.

If we're talking about racing sets, who could forget the Matchbox loop track? How cool was it to be able to make your little cars jump over that gap and then continue on the track? Also the sound they made as the wheels ran along the plastic loop track and then down onto the ramp ---- aaahhh!
