Musical graffiti
 

Forget the legal implications for a moment: this is just hypothetical and fun. Please don't start a discussion about how graffiti is vandalism or how it is ruining our streets or whatever. This is not about that.

Imagine you have a wall in front of you and a spray can with just enough paint to write one message. What would it be? Must be relevant to music, but can be anything: "Coltrane is God". "Prog sucks." "Metal roolz". Whatever. But....

... think of it as your most considered opinion on music or your deepest kept belief, something you really would want others to read and to link with you. A message you could write so that people would nod and say "That guy/girl is cool" or even "What a prick!"

Pretty cool but I didn't mean post pictures of what other people have written/spraypainted. I meant what would YOU write? If that's the case with all your posts then fine, if not, what would you, as it were, want to be your musical message to the world?

For me, and I know a lot of people will laugh, it'd be this:

"There are three important things in music: melody, melody and melody"

That's cool Roxy. Everyone post your pics if you want, it's just not what I had in mind when I thought of the thread. But whatever, it's all fun. Use it as you wish.

I still would have to go with "God is gay" i have nothing original to say to the world.

I knew what you meant. I did mine with PS.

I may or may not have written numerous Manics lyrics in permanent marker across the walls of the toilet cubicles at college.

I'd write 'Add On!' as a title, then underneath it, 'your momma is so delightful....'

Unless I made it musical like you said. Then I'd just write 'bach away when an axe is let loose'
