For me it's The Marvelous Marvelettes with the sexy sounds of Wanda Rodgers, purring ass only she can of classics like- The Hunter Gets Captured By The Game...You're The One... Destination Anywhere... Don't Mess With Bill, or it can be the soulful sound of Miss Gladys Horton... Please Mr Postman... Beechwood 4-5789... Strange I Know... Twistin Postman...who's your favorite female group?

From my childhood, hands down, Diana Ross and the Supremes. Some of my earliest recollections of music are the rich sounds of Motown. I truly fertile time in music.
I loved The Bangles back in my 20s. Saw them in 88 or so, and their harmonies were even more impressive live. Nowadays, I really like Haim. They, too, pay attention to harmonies, but they're also very accomplished, underrated musicians. Last edited by uncle_salty; 08-02-2026 at 11:21 AM. |
