Default Favourite Lyrics To Do With Drugs.

post your favourite lyrics about drugs..mine are in the song White Devil by Alexisonfire

Glorify, glamorize
Try to forget your sunken eyes
Your dead fad is a disaster
Your fashion is my fuckingcancer
Not so fun when your nose is sore
Bloody Kleenex all over the floor
But don't worry, who gives a shit?
All your friends will think you're really hip

and

Addiction is in, I guess addiction is in, yeah
Addiction is in, I guess addiction is in this year

Looks so good
Convulsing on the floor, ya sugar!
And the blood from your nose
Matches your lipstick shade

My Favourite one was a song I wrote called "I want drugs". It went:

I want drugs
I want drugs
I want drugs, drugs, drugs, drugs, drugs
I want drugs
I want drugs
I want drugs, drugs, drugs, drugs, drugs
(repeat X 3)

I think it expresses the situation nicely.

Quote:
Dreaming of that face again.
It's bright and blue and shimmering,
Grinning wide, and comforting me
With its three warm and wild eyes.

On my back and tumbling
Down that hole and back again,
Rising up, and wiping the webs
And the dew from my withered eye.

In...out...in...out...in...out...

A child's rhyme stuck in my head.
It said that life is but a dream.
I've spent so many years in question
To find I've known this all along.

So good to see you.
I've missed you so much.
So glad it's over.
I've missed you so much.

Came out to watch you play,
Why are you running away?
Came out to watch you play,
Why are you running?

Shrouding all the ground around me
Is this holy crow above me.
Black as holes within a memory,
Blue as our new second sun.
I stick my hand into the shadow
To pull the pieces from the sand,
Which I attempt to reassemble,
To see just who I might have been.
I do not recognize the vessel,
But the eyes seem so familiar,
Like phosphorescent desert buttons
Singing one familiar song.

So good to see you.
I've missed you so much.
So glad it's over.
I've missed you so much.

Came out to watch you play,
Why are you running away?
Came out to watch you play,
Why are you running away?

Prying open my third eye.

So good to see you once again.
I thought that you were hiding.
You thought that I had run away,
Chasing the tail of dogma.

I opened my eye...
And there we were.

So good to see you once again.
I thought that you were hiding from me.
You thought that I had run away,
Chasing a trail of smoke and reason.

Prying open my third eye.

Quote:
I have come curiously close to the end,
Down beneath my self-indulgent, pitiful hole.
Defeated, I concede and move closer.
I may find comfort here.
I may find peace within the emptiness,
How pitiful.

It's calling me.

And in my darkest moment, fetal and weeping,
The moon tells me a secret - my confidant.

As full and bright as I am,
This light is not my own.
A million light reflections
Pass over me.
The source is bright and endless,
She resuscitates the hopeless.
Without her, we are lifeless satellites,
Drifting...

And as I pull my head out,
I am without one doubt.
Don't wanna be down here,
Soothing my narcissism.
I must crucify the ego,
Before it's far too late.
I pray the light lifts me out,
Before I pine away.

So crucify the ego,
Before it's far too late.
Leave behind this place so
Negative and blind and cynical,
And you will come to find
We are all one mind,
Capable of all that's imagined
And all conceivable.
Let the light touch you,
Let the words spill through.
Let them pass right through,
Bringing out our hope and reason,
Before we pine away.
The second bit is a bit more drug-influenced than actually about drugs, but meh. Good enough.

Dosed by The Red Hot Chili Peppers as well as Under The Bridge
Granted Dosed was using drugs as metaphor for someone. And the effect was compared to heartbreak of some sort. . But till a good song I suppose.

Bottom of a Bottle by Smile Empty Soul

Because I was High by Afroman

And that's about all I can think of at the moment.

I had a friend once, he took some Acid, now he thinks he's a fire drill.

It's ok until he pisses on your lighter, kinda smells kinda cool kinda funny anyway.

Satan

Satan

Satan

Satan

Satan

I had this friend once, he took some Extacy, tried to marry me and everyone in the room.

He's sorta loving, kinda caring, kinda tried to fûck my lazyboy.

It got a bit messy, all over the curtains, armchair covers, throwpillows and carpeting.

Random Tool song.

many a hand has scaled the grand old face of the plateau
some belong to strangers and some to folks you know
holy ghosts and talk show hosts are planted in the sand
to beautify the foothills and shake the many hands

there's nothing on the top but a bucket and a mop
and an illustrated book about birds
you see a lot up there but don't be scared
who needs action when you got words

when you're finished with the mop then you can stop
and look at what you've done
the plateau's clean, no dirt to be seen
and the work it took was fun

well the many hands began to scan around for the next plateau
some said it was greenland and some say mexico
others decided in was nowhere except for where they stood
but those were all just guesses, wouldn't help you if they could

What you gonna do? Time's caught up with you
Now you wait your turn, you know there's no return
Take your written rules, you join the other fools
Turn to something new, now it's killing you

First it was the bomb, Vietnam napalm
Disillusioning, you push the needle in
From life you escape, reality's that way
Colours in your mind satisfy your time

Oh you, you know you must be blind
To do something like this
To take the sleep that you don't know
You're giving Death a kiss,
Oh, little fool now

Your mind is full of pleasure
Your body's looking ill
To you it's shallow leisure
So drop the acid pill, don't stop to think now

You're having a good time baby
But that won't last
Your mind's all full of things
You're living too fast
go out enjoy yourself
Don't bottle it in
You need someone to help you
To stick the needle in, yeah

Now you know the scene, your skin starts turning green
Your eyes no longer seeing life's reality
Push the needle in, face death's sickly grin
Holes are in your skin, caused by deadly pin

Head starts spinning 'round, you fall down to the ground
Feel your body heave, Death's hands starts to weave
It's too late to turn, you don't want to learn
Price of life you cry, now you're gonna die!

Apart from some RHCP songs, I love Junkhead by Alice in Chains. It is from the Dirt album, which is actually a bit of a concept album. I've bolded the lines which I particularly like, because Layne Staley pulls them off so perfectly and they're simply lyrically great. The whole album is a story about drugs:

Nothing better than a dealer who's high
Be high, convince them to buy

What's my drug of choice?
Well, what have you got?
I don't go broke
And I do it a lot

Seems so sick to the hypocrite norm
Running their boring drills
But we are an elite race of our own
The stoners, junkies, and freaks

Are you happy? I am, man.

Content and fully aware
Money, status, nothing to me
'Cause your life is empty and bare

What's my drug of choice?
Well, what have you got?
I don't go broke
And I do it a lot
I do it a lot, yeah

You can't understand a user's mind
But try, with your books and degrees

If you let yourself go and opened your mind
I'll bet you'd be doing like me
And it ain't so bad

What's my drug of choice?
Well, what have you got?
I don't go broke
And I do it a lot
Say, I do it a lot!
I do it a lot!
I do it a lot!
Say, I do it a lot
