Ok, well regarding deaths; Soundgarden, RATM, Pink Floyd (Dead members?), Smashing Pumpkins. Some others I can't remember.

Pink Floyd's vocalist died recently. And as for the Smashing Pumpkins, you are in luck. In recent news Billy Corgan has reunited with them, and they are currently in the studio. Don't know if it is all of the original members or not.
